In a move to shake the gaming industry, Taiwanese PC maker Asus has confirmed to launch a gaming phone soon this year. This move came after the success of Razer phone and Xiaomi’s Black Shark, who are existing right now in the gaming market.
The news got broke when the ASUS Global CEO Jerry Shen confirmed in an interview to Astig.ph that the phone can be “expected” to launch soon in the coming days. Though, ASUS has yet to officially reveal anything in regards to a name & cost of this gaming smartphone.
In the gaming market, Asus already sells gaming laptops and PCs as a reputable company under its Republic of Gamers (ROG) & Strix brand name. Therefore, needless to say, the gaming phone will have a name on the similar lines. It will be the company’s first handheld portable gaming phone under the ROG division. Thus, considering the company’s huge experience in gaming industry, this phone will give tough competition to the already existing phones in the market. As when the phone will be launch it’s closest tough competitors are likely to be the “Razer” Phone and the recently introduced “Black Shark” phone by Xiaomi.
As of now, in today’s market gaming smartphones are yet to make a mark in the Android space But, considering the higher refresh rate on display for outstanding gaming experience, better grip for easy handling, dual speakers, bigger battery life, dedicated keys to activate performance mode and 24*7 support for gaming peripherals are a few lucrative features of these gaming smartphones. Certainly portraying a bright future for these devices in the growing Indian market and a tough competition to other gaming phones.
Needless to say, this Asus gaming phone could turn out to be a head-turner. Now all that remains is to wait and see what it has to offer.
