Computers to run like Human brain-Scientists New development

human brain computerThe computer’s invention has been the greatest gift to humankind with revolutionizing technology. Computer devices have not only made us dependent yet they’ve become the necessity of modern life. Although, It has been commonly said that the computer can never replace the human brain, as it is created by humans, but we can’t ignore the fact that computer is much more capable than the human brain.

UMass engineers are aiming to make a human brain like the computer machine which could be the unsurpassed invention in the history of mankind. Decision-Making is what scientists have been trying to rectify with the computers that often creates complexity in conflicting information, learning from experiences or recognition of faces etc.

J. Joshua Yang of UMass Amherst is an active member of the international team who is currently working on this phenomenon which implies creating computerized versions of synapses and neurons, which are the brain’s neurological building blocks. However, “It does not generate creative things”, he said.

How Computers and human brain works completely varies from the scientist’s point of view. On one hand, a computer is a man-made machine with an absolute speed of computation and retrieval of data whereas Scientist still doesn’t know how the brain actually works.

“But what we know is, it works very different from the current computer,” said Yang. He also added that many scientists are involved in the process of the make this dream come true along with Silicon Valley but UMass team is one-step ahead as they’ve developed an electrical device that improves upon existing circuit technology.

The dream project is in the initial phase and ultimately could help develop extra-intelligent robots who can learn what a specific person needs.
