Dell recently released and added 4 new laptops to its products showcase. This new series is known as Inspiron 17 5000 and consists of 4 laptops with Ryzen APUs which are having both CPU and GPU. We already know that the new AMD APUs perform very good in casual games with the Vega graphics which isn’t offered by any other processor series. This makes the new laptops good both for productivity as well as gaming. Although, high-end gaming isn’t possible.
Dell has 4 variations in the Inspiron 17 5000 series Laptop that have either Ryzen 3 2200U or Ryzen 5 2500U processors. The two models with the Ryzen 3 2200U processor are equipped with Vega 3 graphics and the other two with the Ryzen 5 2500U have Vega 8 graphics which is more powerful. Pricing is done on a fair basis that starts from $679.99 to $999.99.
The lower model having the price of $679.99 has the same specs as that of the second higher model except for the size of the memory. The lower version is having 8GB of RAM clocked at 2400Mhz while the higher model is equipped with 12GB of RAM clocked at 2400Mhz. The latter one costs $729.99 which is a fair price for the upgrade.
Although the other two higher models having a better APU are having the exact same specs but a difference of $100 in their cost and that’s because the more powerful model comes with 1-year premium support and Accidental damage service which is also a great thing in my opinion.
Other specs like resolution are similar on all 4 models with 17.3-inch FHD display displaying a resolution of 1080p with anti-glare properties and having a 720p widescreen webcam. You can get the full specs on Dell’s product page if you want to know more about them. All of these laptops are right now available on Dell’s official online store.
