ComparisonGraphics cards

PowerColor Red Dragon RX 5600 XT 3DHR VS RX 5600 XT 3DHE

Introduction

Though PowerColor isn't as good as other GPU manufacturers like Sapphire, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI etc. but there are some good designs that PowerColor launched some time ago which made its GPUs good enough to be considered for Gaming PCs. They perform similar to the other editions from more popular vendors. The RX 5600 XT is among the top mid-tier GPUs which is right now very suitable for 1440p and 1080p gaming.

PowerColor has its own editions of this card and two of them are in the Red Dragon series which provide higher clock speeds and better cooling solutions. Note that there were some cases which report that the fans on them only turned ON when the temperature rose to 100 C but after the VBios update everything is stable now.

The two GPUs which I am going to compare are Red Dragon RX 5600 XT 3DHR and Red Dragon RX 5600 XT 3DHE. Their names are very similar but their specs and designs are not. Let's start with the comparison right away!

Conclusion

RX 5600 XT 3DHR has some significant differences in design as well as specs. Though the memory specs are exactly the same, the game clock and boost clock speeds have a significant difference which will make the 3DHE faster. Also, the 3DHE has better cooling solution with an extra 6 pin power connector which will be helpful in overclocking.
