At IFA 2018, Samsung Electronics unveils that it has extended curved display line-up with a new CJ79 monitor dubbed C34J791 model name. The CJ79 34”, comes with Intel’s Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, fits Macs and PCs, and has Intel’s Thunderbolt 3 ports. The VP of Visual Display Business at the company said, “The CJ79 is our latest endeavour in taking curved monitors to the next level that highlights our commitment to innovation. The addition of Thunderbolt 3 connectivity aligns with that vision and connects customers to infinite possibilities.”
The inclusion of Intel’s Thunderbolt makes the CJ79 differ from all its predecessors and it promotes powerful connectivity for creative and business patrons with ease. At speeds very close to 40 GB per second (Gbps), the ports help to send display, data and power. All across the same single cable, it also charges up to 85 Watt powered devices.

The new CJ79 works multiple projects simultaneously with ease and high efficiency. It seeks to provide patrons with required workspace to multi-task very well, by featuring the 3440×1440 ultra-wide curved display of 21:9 aspect ratio. It also features Picture-by-Picture (PIP) and thereby enables users to display two sources at a time by resizing the other source to about 25% of the screen. It promotes optimal multitasking.
The 1500 R curved ultra-wide screen is designed to replicate the eye’s natural curve and thereby provides patrons with the improved viewing experience. The new monitor is armed with a height-adjustable stand and tilt functionality. Users can alter the positioning to get the best satisfactory viewing experience. It also features a 3000:1 contrast ratio, and it was due to the incorporation of Quantum Dot Tech. with 125% sRGB colour spectrum. The CJ79’s refresh rate of graphics cards was synchronized by AMD FreeSync to lessen image tearing and shutter, giving seamless gameplay and video playback for constant viewing.
